Escrito en febrero 26, 2011 a las 2:34 pmLa Casa Ecológica Urbana fue un proyecto de transición emprendido del año 2009 a finales del 2011 que buscaba rediseñar los habitats tradicionales urbanos para transformarlos en habitats sustentables, buscando así lograr un equilibrio entre nuestras vidas, necesidades y los ritmos propios de la naturaleza.
En dicho proyecto se ocuparon 2 casas del Centro Histórico de la Ciudad de Querétaro,

Estaba ubicada en la Calle 16 de Septiembre, una vieja casona en donde compartimos junto con un Restaurante de comida Vasco-Oaxaqueña Ama-Layu durante poca mas de un año. Durante este año participaron en el proyecto Raúl Vélez, Javier Leal, Ale Etbul, Ricardo Vélez y Dan Voigt como maestra de yoga.

la utilización de la energía del sol como alternativa viable frente a las energías sucias, tomando en cuenta que no es cambiar solamente la energía tradicional por la solar, si no pasa por contemplar un verdadero cambio en nuestros hábitos y forma de vida.
Promovemos la recolección y almacenamiento de agualluvia para un abasto parcial de nuestra casa ecológica y nuestro huerto urbano, y que el agua utilizada se reutilice varias veces. Buscamos producir mas del 50% del alimento que consumimos sea cultivado en nuestra Huerta Urbana logrando una soberanía alimentaria familiar, alimentos frescos directos del huerto libres de pesticidas y sin manipulación genética, un ahorro a los gastos familiares y regresar a una conexión con la tierra y el pan que va a nuestra mesa. Tenemos una filosofía de incorporar todos nuestros residuos al ciclo de vida, entiendendo que el residuo de hoy, es el alimento para otro ciclo del mañana. Basura Cero, empleando una ideología casacada frente al consumo: Rechazar – Reducir – Reutilizar – Reparar – Reciclar
Buscamos poner un ejemplo pequeñito y que otros se sumen al movimiento de transición y regresar a casa el sentido y valor de la palabra “comunidad”.
